John Cunha, DO, FACOEP

Dr. John Cunha leads and ensures the credentialing, quality and functioning of the Holy Cross Health Medical Staff.

He brings 20 years of medical experience to his additional leadership positions: Assistant Chief of Holy Cross Health Emergency Department and Medical Director for the City of Oakland Park Fire Rescue.

A fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, Dr. Cunha is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the National Association of EMS Physicians.

Dr. Cunha opens his heart and his home to society's forgotten animals, serving as a foster parent for Florida Dachshund Rescue.

He previously served on the Board of Directors for The American Red Cross-South Florida region.

A graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Dr. Cunha chairs the Holy Cross Health Board's Quality and Safety Committee.
