Linda B. Carter served as President/CEO of the Community Foundation of Broward for 23 years, retiring in July 2020.
Under her leadership, the Foundation grew from $20 million in assets to just over $220 million. As a result of this growth, annual grantmaking in Broward grew from $1 million annually to a $1 million monthly enabling the Foundation to take a leadership role in addressing foster care reform, education, and the arts to name a few.
Under her stewardship the Foundation was the first community foundations in Florida to be deemed in full compliance with National Standards and inclusion in the prestigious list of Top 100 community foundations nationwide.
Linda previously served as Executive Vice-President for the Museum of Discovery and Science.
Linda currently is Vice-Chairman of the Board for Florida House on Capitol Hill and sits on the Grants, Nominating and Marketing Committees for Funding Arts Broward.
Linda has served on numerous local, regional, and national boards, often serving on its executive committee. Highlights of her former service include:

Additionally, she has received many honors and recognitions. Linda is a native of Broward County and a graduate of the University of Florida. She lives in Fort Lauderdale with her husband, Michael.
