Cancers We Treat
Multidisciplinary Disease-Specific Clinics
Cancer care involves multiple physicians and caregivers (oncologist, surgeon, radiation oncologist, social worker, oncology nurses, spiritual care personnel, physical therapists, etc.), and the coordination of this care saves the patient much time and worry. The Michael and Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center offers multidisciplinary disease-specific clinics where patients can receive complete cancer care from one location.
The Bienes Cancer Center is a comprehensive community cancer center providing cutting edge cancer services in a multi-disciplinary fashion. Our Team of cancer specialists, along with our partners at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, offer the latest treatments in the fight against cancer including access to advanced clinical trials, intensity modulated radiation therapy, and tumor specific targeted chemo/biotherapy. Our weekly cancer conferences allows our multi-specialty physicians and clinical support team members to meet and discuss individual cancer cases to determine the best possible treatment options for our patients.
Our Cancer Center is nationally accredited by both the Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Programs for Breast Centers. Our Cancer specialty physician team is comprised of medical oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists and surgeons, including (2) that are Oncology fellowship trained. Our Program offers numerous patient and family education and support programs, free health screening activities and community and professional education.
