NAPBC Accreditation
The Michael and Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center at Holy Cross Hospital is proud to be accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). The NAPBC represents a consortium of national, professional organizations dedicated to the improvement of the quality of care and monitoring of outcomes of patients with diseases of the breast.
Holy Cross Hospital is among the first 200 in the country to receive this accreditation. Holy Cross underwent a rigorous evaluation and review of its performance and compliance with the NAPBC standards.
NAPBC-accredited centers must demonstrate a multidisciplinary, team approach to coordinate the best care and treatment options available; have access to breast cancer-related information, education and support; provide breast cancer data collection on quality indicators for all subspecialties involved in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment; provide ongoing monitoring and improvement of care; and offer information about clinical trials and new treatment options.
