Community Outreach Coordinator and Holy Cross Health blogger Von Biggs, a prominent advocate for HIV awareness and intersectionality, has joined Happening Out Television Network as an anchor.

Known for his impactful roles, including Vice Chair of the RW Part A Planning Council and a founding member of TransEd, Biggs brings his extensive experience in advocating for the health and rights of marginalized communities, particularly within the LGBTQ+ sphere.

His efforts have significantly shaped policies improving HIV healthcare and testing accessibility in the Broward area. Biggs also focuses on reducing stigma in medical and community settings, emphasizing the importance of mental health and trauma-informed care. A professional visual artist, he combines his artistic skills with advocacy to enhance community engagement and empathy.

Biggs upholds the values of Holy Cross Health—reverence, dignity, and integrity—in his work and community outreach. In May, he plans to announce the results of the Health Equality Index, which assesses the impact of these initiatives on Holy Cross and the LGBTQ+ community.
