Fort Lauderdale, Florida (August 22, 2023) – Gastroenterologist Edwin Golikov, D.O. has joined Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 130 physicians providing services throughout Broward County.

Specially trained to diagnose and manage diseases of the digestive tract, from the esophagus to the large intestine, Dr. Golikov treats patients with conditions including colon cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel diseases, heartburn/gastroesophageal reflux and liver disease. His sub-specialty focus includes pancreaticobiliary disorders, gastrointestinal cancers, complex polypectomy and pancreatic cystic lesions. He performs interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoluminal stenting and suturing.

Dr. Golikov most recently completed a fellowship in advanced interventional endoscopy at NYU Langone Hospital in Mineola, New York. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York and his residency in internal medicine at Care Point Health Medical Center in Bayonne, New Jersey. Dr. Golikov earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with honors from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Natural Sciences from Fordham University.

Dr. Golikov is an active member of the ASGE (American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy) and FITE (Foundation for Interventional & Therapeutic Endoscopy). He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology as well as board eligible by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He has extensive research experience and has been published in numerous publications.

Proficient in Russian, Dr. Golikov has previously served as a medical interpreter for Russian-speaking patients.
