The Valve and Structural Heart Disease Clinic at Holy Cross Hospital's Jim Moran Heart & Vascular Center is led by expert Cardiologists and Cardiovascular Surgeons. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, the Valve Clinic provides several treatment options for patients with complex diseases of the cardiac valves.

Who Should Be Referred to the Valve & Structural Heart Disease Clinic?
New treatments are now available through the Clinic for patients with complex valve disease previously thought to be untreatable: Complex valve disease including:
- Aortic stenosis
- Mitral stenosis
- Mitral regurgitation
- Pulmonary stenosis
- For patients with co-morbidities and patients who have had multiple procedures and are not good surgical candidates.
Referral Process
Physicians can call the Clinic Coordinator at 954-542-7974 to answer questions and schedule a single appointment with all the necessary physician specialists, eliminating the need for the patient to make multiple appointments. The Coordinator ensures smooth, efficient patient care. A referral form and prior diagnostic studies may be requested for review.
Patients should call their attending physician for a referral into the clinic.
Expected follow-up
The referring physician will receive thorough follow-up including:
- Test results via phone and mail
- Collaboration on the development of a care plan for the patient
Valve Conference
Complex clinical cases are presented for group discussion at a weekly conference. Diagnostic and management considerations are discussed by cardiovascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists and imaging specialists. Following the conference, a summary letter outlining the discussion and treatment consensus is sent to the referring physician for review.

The Valve and Structural Heart Disease Clinic is located in the Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics office on the main campus of Holy Cross Hospital (4725 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308) first floor, next to the Admitting Lobby. Patients and guests may enter through the main hospital entrance on Federal Highway. Complimentary valet parking is available during regular business hours.
