Our Team
Holy Cross Health's Michael and Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center offers a multidisciplinary team of specialty physicians, nutritionist, spiritual care team and the following medical professionals
Radiation Therapists
Certified radiation therapists work together on the treatment machines and the CT and fluoroscopy simulators. The physics department is staffed by Board-certified physicists and certified dosimetrists. Two oncology nurses work directly with the physicians and patient on a daily basis.
Infusion Therapists
A team of oncology trained and oncology certified nurses work together with the onsite oncology pharmacists to carry out the physician's orders for all chemotherapy, blood transfusions, antibiotic treatments and other infusion services.
Oncology Office Team
The office team consists of administrative, financial and clinical staff members to support the physicians' practices. Each doctor has a certified medical assistant and an oncology certified nurse working with him or her in the office setting.
Inpatient Unit Staff
Staffed by oncology trained and oncology certified nurses and other professionals, the inpatient unit provides both private and semi-private rooms to meet the needs of cancer patients who require admission to the hospital.
Research Professionals
A team of oncology certified and research certified RNs work with a data manager to assist physicians and patients in enrolling and participating in more than 100 clinical trials available at the Bienes Cancer Center.
Patient Navigator
A cancer diagnosis is overwhelming, but our patient navigator is available to guide you through your treatments. Our certified breast health navigator is a registered nurse who helps our patients with decisions involving medical treatment, offers information on support groups, similar cases, tests, trials, area programs, financial assistance, home health care and other concerns.
Support Services
The cancer center also has a master's prepared social worker, a dedicated nutritionist, spiritual care chaplains, financial counselors, massage therapists, lymphedema therapists, exercise physiologists and a medical librarian working with the clinical team of professionals to provide all around support for the patient and their family.
Tumor Registry
Certified Tumor Registrars working with state and national organizations to provide up to date information on the types and number of cancer patients and diagnosis seen and treated at Holy Cross Hospital and the Bienes Cancer Center.
