Living as an overweight person without weight-appropriate equipment is difficult. The bariatric center at Holy Cross hospital was designed with your needs in mind. From our state-of-the-art operating suites to the private and semi-private patient rooms, our facility offers you all you need to ensure your comfort, safety, and dignity during your stay.
This walker can accommodate up to 750 pounds and helps you increase your stability as get you back on your feet post-surgery.
As you regain your mobility post-surgery, the commode chair can be used at bedside, in the shower, or over an existing toilet to keep you safe. This chair has a 750-pound capacity.
Getting out of bed after bariatric surgery can be scary. This bed allows you to safely exit the bed. The full-frame trapeze lets you assist yourself into an upright position, and the mattress is designed to help prevent your skin from getting caught while moving. This bed can safely accommodate 350 to 1,000 pounds.
After your surgery, you'll need help moving around at first. To help keep you and your caregivers safe, Holy Cross offers the Bari-Lift to help transfer you from bed to chair or bed to floor. This will not only help you heal faster, but it will also give you the confidence and comfort you need when standing. This lift has a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds.
