At Holy Cross Hospital, we have the weight appropriate equipment, the state-of-the-art facilities, and experienced staff to meet your needs. Our staff of nurses and ancillary caregivers are specially trained and have an understanding of the needs of the bariatric patient. Our operating suites are equipped with the latest surgical technologies, including computer controlled operating suites. And private and semi-private rooms are available for patients. We want to ensure that during your inpatient stay, we provide you with the proper equipment to ensure safety, dignity and comfort.

The Bari-Walker

Used to help assist patients with becoming ambulatory. Note that it is made to accommodate the obese patient. This walker can accommodate up to 750 pounds and increases your stability.

The Bari-Shower Commode Chair

Can be used at the bedside, in the shower or over an existing toilet. With a 750 pound capacity, this commode helps to promote safe patient mobilization.

The Bari-Wheelchair

Specially designed to accommodate obese patients up to 750 pounds.

The Bari-Patient Bed

Equipped to accommodate patients with weights greater than 350 pounds up to 1,000 pounds. The features of this bariatric bed allow for patients to safely exit the bed during ambulation. The full frame trapeze allows for patients to assist themselves into an upright position. The mattress is designed to prevent skin from getting caught when moving about.

The Bari-Lift & Transfer

Has a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds. This equipment creates a safer environment to properly transfer the patient and protect the caregiver. It increases patient confidence, comfort and promotes rehabilitation.
